VISIT THE CENTER
Animal care can be viewed from the fence line.
Visitors are kept a safe distance from the animals. Staff and volunteers
will answer questions and explain the purpose and general operations of
the Center. Be sure to visit our gift
shop. The center is open for
visitors during daylight hours. If you have a large group
please call ahead to make arrangements for a tour. Group tours are
handled through the Center for Marine Studies. The number is
310-547-9888.
Please note that pets are not allowed near
the animal enclosures for their safety and well-being, as well as for the
health of the Center?s patients. Visitors are asked to park their vehicles
in the parking area in front of the Center.
Take the Harbor Freeway 110 South to Gaffey
Street. Go south (left) on Gaffey Street past 36th Street, where you
will see the entrance to Fort MacArthur at Angels Gate on the right. Turn
right through the entrance, which puts you on Leavenworth Drive. Follow
the road past the military museum until you see our building across the
parking lot on the right.
